Pine Lumber Supplier Eastern White Pine lumber is easily worked with tools, feels soft to the touch, and looks great with many different stains that let the knot structure show through or mask it to some degree. A chamfer is milled on each edge of this tongue and groove board creating the v - groove at each joint. V - Groove (WP-4) provides a fresh, clean look to any surface. A V - groove refers to the shape of the recesses visible on the face of a panel. These cuts are the result of an angular beveled edge being aligned to an opposite angular beveled edge which creates a visible and distinct V -shaped recession in the face of the panel. When done intentionally and tastefully, V - groove paneling or wainscot can give a dining room, den or home theater the warm, inviting charm of solid wood. You may also want to look at either our shiplap or tongue and groove planks that overlaps to create a seamless joint. States currently offers forty individual wall paneling products.


Selected panels may be flat, but most have a decorative pattern grooved or beaded into the surface. V-Groove (WP-4) provides a fresh, clean look to any surface. The most traditional pattern is called Orangeburg. The Mark V groove pattern is 7-9-7-5-4-7-9. I’ve purchased the underlayment many times for cabinet backs.

Either way, beads are key. They conceal joints and any slight mismatch between neighboring panels. We used it in our master bathroom above as well as around our kitchen island and I love the look of it. Patterns without any V Edge are referred to as Flush-Joint (cedar, pine) or Butt-Joint (redwood).


Flush-Joint Tongue and Groove has a similar appearance to classic SHIP LAP Siding. But other wood options and sizes can be special-ordered. Some boards are rough on one face and smooth on the other.
