Checkerboard dimensions

The dimensions of a standard checkerboard are inches by inches. The total area of the board is 2square inches. The red side always makes the first move in a game. For my own boar I went with inches. What are the dimensions of a checker board?


How many squares are actually on a checkerboard? How to make a checkerboard? A checkerboard or chequerboard is a board of chequered pattern on which draughts is played.

Checkerboard dimensions

Start out by marking a 1″ border on all four sides of the board. Trace lightly with your pencil to give you a guide. At the bottom of one side of the boar mark at the 2″ point across the board and then draw a line the length of the board.


You should have eight columns total. This tutorial uses a 8xcheckerboard with 108mm squares.
