Stucco brown coat

How long between stucco coats? What is brown coat plaster? This acts as an ideal base for the finish coat , which is integrally colored (in most cases) and is what you see on stucco , so the base needs to be uniform.

Three coat is the original stucco process, consisting of paper and wire, a scratch coat , a brown coat , and a finish, or “top” coat. In industry terms — lath, scratch and brown.
