Utile is a dark brown color and is known for beautiful, tight flecks that make the wood look radiant and almost glisten. There are five woods from African considered as ‘Redwoods’ (Mahoganies or Mahogany looking and substitutes). This Mahogany-like species originates in Africa.

Utile wood is used in flooring, fine furniture and cabinetwork, joinery, decorative veneers, plywood and boat construction.
